So after what felt like a summer of endless David Guetta collaborations with anyone who can sing a hook, the worlds number one knob twiddler Tiesto has jumped on the house/hip hop/r’n'b bandwagon.
Upcoming Karbon guest DJ Jazzy Jeff recently dropped his mixtape tribute to the late king of pop Michael Jackson. Titled “He’s the king, I’m the DJ” this is a look back over some of the greatest moments of MJ’s career and somethings that you might not have heard before. Defiantly worth a listen. You can download it HERE
Jazzy Jeff - “I kind of wanted to give a feel like you heard it in a club. I didn’t necessarily want to go in a certain order, ’cause everybody in the world plays certain Michael Jackson songs. And I wanted to play songs that not everyone plays, play some obscure album cuts. And if you listen to it, I have some acapella and versions of songs that not everyone had heard. So, I kind of wanted to mix it up and keep people off guard. Just give them an example of all that Michael was like.”
The Till late Christmas party is somewhat of a institution and is defiantly a highlight on the festive clubbing calendar. This years party promises to be one of the biggest yet with Global superstar DJ, Ferry Corsten heading the bill.
Ferry Corsten as I’m sure you will all know is without doubt one of the biggest DJ’s on the dance music scene. What make’s his appearance at this event even more special is that he has agreed to waive his fee (normally a five figure sum) in aid of charity.
This a a free event but entry is by ticket only. Free tickets for the night can be obtained in person from Karbon. Be quick tickets are very limited.
All donations collected on the night will go to The Royal Hospital For Sick Children in Glasgow
Rapper and Ghostwriter Mad Skillz will be touching down in Karbon on Tuesday 15th December alongside Jazzy Jeff for a very special performance.
It’s almost that time of year when Skillz is getting ready to drop his much anticipated annual wrap up. Last years version was pretty sick so he’s got a lot to live up to this time around. If we are very lucky he might even drop a few bars live in Karbon.
DJ Jazzy Jeff is touching down at Karbon on Tuesday 15th December for the only Scottish date on his upcoming european tour. Anyone who’s been lucky enough to see him in action before will know how good this dude really is.
It’s been 2 years since he’s been in Glasgow and he’s taken it up a few notches since then. Check out this video of him and the late DJ AM spinning at House of Blues in New Orleans. You know your on fire when AM takes his records off the decks.
Example will be gracing the decks tomorrow night in Karbon for the Lily allen tour after show party. Expect some special performances and special guests.
